Choice of Services (Stages 1-10) & Process of Engagement
During the past 25 years working in various Award Winning Chartered Architectural Practices, we were fortunate to be mentored by many of the best Architects. We trained and gained experience in many specailist areas in order for us to become competent as designers. We have adopted a method of working that aligns closely with the project stages used by Chartered Architects working in this profession in the UK. Stages that have evolved during our careers the latest identified and outlined by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Plan of Work 2020.

RIBA's stages are geared towards the inception to completion of varied size building projects. Interior Architects and Interior Designers are involved in these building projects and tend to focus on their area of expertise within a project team or as an independent consultancy working with the team to RIBA stages.

Where a project requires statutory planning permission/s and building regulation compliance relevant stakeholders are contacted and necessary consultants sourced and appointed. It is usual practice in the industry to collaborate with these stakeholders and consultants when and where required during a project; to obtain statutory planning permission/s and building regulation compliance to facilitate smooth completion of the agreed stages of a project. Stakeholders can be neighbours, tenants, building owners and planning authorities, the consultants can be Chartered Planners, Architects, Civil, Structural and MEP Engineers, Building and Quantity Surveyors, Conservation officers, Bat Surveyors, Arboriculturists, there are many more we can list. More relevant to Interior Design we also have links and can engage on the clients behalf with Inclusivity, Accessibility and Colour Consultants when there is a need for more detailed specialist input, to advise, develop and where necessary approve aspects of our design in these constantly changing times. This allows clients to use our Interior Architecture & Design services primarily to benefit from our unique design skills and expertise.

Note: Health & Safety Executive - Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015).
If you are having construction work done on your own home, or on the home of a family member that is not done in connection with a business you are a domestic client. CDM 2015 applies to all construction work including domestic projects. As a domestic client your duties under CDM 2015 are passed on to others who are carrying out the construction work on your behalf (such as designers and contractors). Those carrying out the work will also have duties of their own.
If you are having construction work done as part of a trade or business e.g. as a landlord or developer, the work may be notifiable and you will have duties as a commercial client under CDM 2015.
