We at Chadwicks Interior Architecture & Design feel its both inspiring and our duty as design professionals to keep mindful, up to date and informed about many areas of our industry. Colour is so important to us humans, the materials/substances used to achieve this colour and its sustainability is a growing topic in Interior Architecture and Design.
See what Karen (in centre of photo) has to say below and take a look at the recorded youtube link.
I've had lots of requests for the recording of my Decorex panel discussion last month. Decorex has just released the recording, so without further ado, I have the link to the panel discussion I organised and chaired: Colour Trends & Sustainability – Can the Two Co-exist?
The idea for this panel discussion emerged from the many conversations I’ve been having with colour trends experts worldwide as part of my colour trends course.
For this discussion, I invited three expert industry panelists: Laura Perryman, CMF Consultant, Sonya Parenti, Sustainable Fashion & Product Expert and Cat Hyde, Founder of Seagulls Recycled Paint, who unfortunately couldn't make it at the last minute so I stepped in her place.
Together, we explored the critical intersection between colour trends and sustainability, delving into questions around balancing colour and design with ethical practices.
We discussed challenges in sustainable production, as well as the exciting innovations in natural and technological colour advancements that are shaping the future of design.
And my favourite part of any discussion—the audience Q&A!, The attendees asked some truly insightful questions that brought even more depth to the conversation.
It’s fantastic that Decorex recorded our panel discussion, so no matter where you are in the world, you’ll have the opportunity to hear from leaders in the field as we explore how design can evolve responsibly.
